SUDAN STORY 2
Katerina is an older member of the community. For the first time in 48 years, she has access to healthcare thanks to MAI's support of EPC.
She says: "Heartburn is disturbing me now and I am having general body pain. During the war, we would rely on traditional treatments for illnesses, which we would make from leaves or other things. We could not get medicines to help us. Even after the war ended, I used to go to Yei Civil Hospital but those nurses and doctors there send you to a private pharmacy to buy the medicines, which I could not afford. Now that Goli Hospital is here, it is helping me much from my burden of illness and allowing me to access good treatment for the first time in my 48 years."
