MAI TO LOOK AT TWO POTENTIAL PROJECTS
At the recent MAI Board meeting, it was agreed that two Board members would make exploratory visits to projects that may be supported through MAI in future.
One is a HIV/Aods project in a poor rural community in northern Uganda. With similarities to the project we currentl support in KwaZulu Natal, local volunteers provide Home Care to sufferers.
The other project is in Sri Lanka with bases in three parts of the island. Of particular interest may be the healthcare being offered to victims of the recently concluded civil war by way of rehabilitation.
