HENRY OLONGA TO FEATURE IN MAI CHARITY EVENT
Forner Zimbabwean cricketer, Henry Olonga, is to be the special guest at a MAI charity evening on 26th February, 2010.
Henry was Zimbabwe's fastest bowler and establishing an exciting career. However, he shot to fame when, together with Andy Flower, he wore a black arm band on the field in the 2003 Cricket World Cup in protest at the policies of the Mugabe regime. This resulted in an arrest warrant being issued for his arrest on the grounds of treason, a charge carrying the death penalty.
The venue is being fianlised at present but keep the date in your diary because it will be a cracking evening, featuring Henry's life story, his singing and painting together with video of MAI's work in Africa.
