CONSTANT LIGHT TO BOOST INCOME GENERATION SCHEME
MAI has recently forwarded a large capital sum to enable the Guest House at Vom Hospital to install solar panels. This will increase the patronage since many guests, particularly church and business conferences, require constant light (Nigeria is notorious for power cuts from an under-performing electricity supply).
Thanks for these funds are due to another charity which supports healthcare in challenging situations and a private individual.
The Guest House and Conference Centre was developed as a means to provide an on-going income stream to Vom Hospital. This has been damaged in recent months by disturbances in Plateau State but the availability of continuous light and power is an attractive addition to the facility that will prove attractive to prospective guests.
